Colcot

Colcot is a northern district of Barry near Wenvoe in the Vale of Glamorgan 11 miles outside Cardiff in south Wales. Colcot Primary School was built in 1952.

Home to local heroes such as Owen Persall, the Colcot area of Barry includes numorous sports facilities including "The Butts" and "Barry Sports Centre". Prior to their disbanding in 2001, "The Butts" was home to "Cadoxton Imps C" Football team, where players both trained and played. These players included Francis Booker, Lloyd Jones and Liam Ring. Nearby areas include Highlight Park and Brynhill Golf Course.
