Colchester Gladiators

The Colchester Gladiators are an American Football team based in Colchester, Essex. They play in the British American Football League (BAFL), Division 1 South. The Gladiators play their home games at Broad Lane Stadium, Wivenhoe, and train at the Sir Charles Lucas Centre for Sport and Art, Colchester. The Gladiators were founded in 1985 but folded as a club in 1996. They were reformed in 2004, and rejoined competitive British American Football in 2005. In 2006 the Gladiators recorded 8 wins and only 2 losses in only their second season. As Division Champions they have been promoted to Division 1
