Coherent is a company situated in Santa Clara, California, USA. It was founded in 1966 and is considered to be a major developer in laser technology and optical components. Coherent serves a number of markets with its products for industrial, medical, and scientific applications. As of 2005, the total annual sales of the company were US$ 516.3 million.
