Cohasset is an unincorporated community in Butte County, California that is approximately 17.7 miles NNE of Chico, CA. It's main street name, Cohasset Road, comes from the Algonquin Indian language meaning "city of pines".[1] This small community is primarily accessed by this road which leads to the Chico Airport which serves as its primary airport.

The town is a mountain community at 2,820 feet above mean sea level. It sits on Cohasset Ridge: an eleven-mile ridge running roughly southwest-to-northeast. The U.S. Geological Survey feature ID is 1655909 and NAD27 coordinates for the community are 39°55′32″N, 121°43′48″W. The ZIP Code for the community is 95926, which is shared with about seven other nearby towns.
