[edit] The conference
Cognitio is a series of graduate students conference held every year at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) since 2004. Young researchers from many countries and different fields related to cognitive science (psychology, neuroscience, computer science, linguistics, philosophy, etc.) present their research and exchange with other scholars. The Cognitio 2005 proceedings (Cognitive Decision-Making: Empirical and Foundational issues, Hardy-Vallee, ed.) are available at Cambridge Scholars Publishing. The Cognitio 2006 proceedings (Beyond the brain: embodied, situated & distributed cognition, Hardy-Vallee & Payette, ed.) should follow in the course of 2007. Cognitio is the only international graduate conference in cognitive science to be held in Quebec every year.
