Coelebs in Search of a Wife

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Coelebs in Search of a Wife (1809) is a book by English religious writer Hannah More. It was followed by Coelebs Married in 1814.

Coelebs (or caelebs) is Latin for "bachelor", the source of the English word celibate; it appears in zoology in Finchilla coelebs, the "bachelor bird".
