Cody Reed Kasch (born August 21, 1987) is an American actor.
Kasch was born in Camarillo, California of Scottish heritage.[1] After numerous television guest appearances, Kasch seemed to get his big break when he was cast in a regular role on the John Goodman sitcom Normal, Ohio, only to see that series be cancelled after only a few episodes. Kasch played Texan high school student in the Australian teenage series, Out There. Four years later, Kasch was hired to play the character of Zach Young on the popular ABC comedy-drama Desperate Housewives, a role that provided Kasch instant fame. As the son of deceased Mary Alice Young, Kasch played one of the pivotal figures in the show's main mystery. After a brief absence from the show he returned in 2007 as Gabrielle Solis' secret admirer. He is also the narrator for several audiobooks.
In May 2005, Kasch was arrested for marijuana possession in New York City and charged with a fifth-degree drug possession.[citation needed]
Kash's brother is actor Max Kasch.
