Cody Bass (born on January 7, 1987 in Guelph, Ontario, Canada) is a young hockey player in the Ontario Hockey League. He is a Centreman for the Saginaw Spirit. Bass is 6'00" tall and weighs 185 lb. Known for his great work ethic, fierce competitiveness, and a responsible style of play Bass is a defensive minded forward and thus has been judged to be a great penalty killer.

In 127 games with the Mississauga IceDogs, Bass has tallied 14 goals and made 24 assists, for a total of 38 points. He also collected 133 PIM over those two seasons.

Bass has also represented Canada internationally. Winning a gold medal with Team Canada at the 2004 U-18 Junior World Cup. He also played on Canada's U-18 silver medal team at the 2005 U-18 Junior World Championship, in Plzen, Czech Republic.

He was available to be drafted in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft held in Ottawa. Bass was expected to be picked in the third round however he was still available early in the 4th round and was picked 95th overall by the Ottawa Senators. The Senators acquired the 95th draft pick after trading Todd White to the Minnesota Wild.
