Codigoro is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Ferrara in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 70 km northeast of Bologna and about 40 km east of Ferrara. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 12,883 and an area of 169.8 km2.[1]
The municipality of Codigoro contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Caprile, Italba, Mezzogoro, Pomposa, Pontelangorino, Pontemaodino, Torbiera, and Volano.
Codigoro borders the following municipalities: Berra, Comacchio, Goro, Jolanda di Savoia, Lagosanto, Massa Fiscaglia, Mesola, Migliarino.
