[edit] Bio
Cobaltnine was born in 1981 a day before a black moon. She was once known as Mirjen, and first used a modem in the late 80s. Her parents named her Jen, but her friends in college, suffused with other Jens, decided to call her 'Short Evil Jen'. It's stuck.
[edit] Education
She is an alumna of Bryn Mawr College, emerging relatively unscathed four years later with a (fairly useless) degree in Near Eastern Archaeology.
She is currently finishing her MA thesis at UConn. The title is: Brothers in Death: The Use of Fraternal Symbols on Funerary Monuments (proposed title; completion expected Spring 2006)
Her funding got cut off by the department's poor handling of finances, and she is no longer interested in persuing a PhD at a school with such severe department infighting.
[edit] Employment
Currently working as an independent historian, she is available to work given a week or so notice. Health insurance would be nice.
She currently works per-diem at Yale University and the affiliated hospital. In the past she has worked as tech support, a Latin tutor, and a convenience store worker. More recently, she has worked on various Pequot and historic archaeological sites and museums in the central and eastern parts of Connecticut.
