To Whom It May Concern:
I am wondering about resources that are printed in book form, but meant only for certain individuals. Specifically, in the articles about Jehovah's Witnesses, resources are frequently quoted that are materials printed and published for certain groups of people within the religion, and the legal corporations of Jehovah's Witnesses, namely, the Watch Tower bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc., are VERY strict regarding the use of their copyrighted material. Member of the religion, including myself, remain of the opinion that this material is not meant as a public document, and therefore not open to usage as a reliable resource. In fact, the only way to obtain the publication would be for a member who is issued it to hand it to you. When material like this is either publsihed on the Internet or sold, the Watch Tower Society usually exercises its copyrights to put a stop to it.
How can this be enforced on Wikipedia? Other editors (those with self-admitted agendas) are determined to use the article as a soapbox for their greivances with the organization and its beliefs and rules, and insist that publishing this specific information both adheres to Wikipedia rules and copyright laws, and as presented (in their edits) conforms to the NPOV rule.
Your thoughts regarding this issue are eagerly anticipated.
Warm regards,
Anthony B. Annechino
