Coby Hansen is a fictional character in the Transformers: Cybertron (called Transformers: Galaxy Force in Japan) cartoon series. He is voiced by Samuel Vincent in Cybertron (after the first episode^{[citation needed]} ) and by Yukiko Tamaki in Galaxy Force.

Coby is a 12 year old boy who lives in Texas. Along with their friend Lori, he and his younger brother Bud befriended the Autobots after finding and aiding the damaged Landmine. Coby and Bud have an older brother named Tim.

Coby is a mechanical genius, which he has demonstrated on numerous occasions by helping the Ugliobots with their parties. He enjoys dirtbike racing and has worked at a mechanic's shop. Coby repaired and customized a damaged Scrapmetal drone that he could pilot (Called Cobyrumble in Galaxy Force). He used it to save Bud, who was trapped among the Decepticons, and thus, earned an unofficial place among the Autobots.

Coby is the primary main human character in Galaxy Force/Cybertron, helping out with repairs or construction. He is very protective of his little brother Bud. From the onset of the series, Coby has a somewhat antagonistic relationship with Lori, and their first conversation is an argument (in the Japanese version, she mocked him for likening machines to living creatures). However, as the series progressed, the two of them developed a strong unspoken bond, strengthened by their time with the Autobots. His arch enemy is Melesio.

In the finale, as the Autobots prepare to leave to begin construction of a new space bridge, Coby is joined by Lori as he sits on his drone. He confides in her he intends to study hard and someday go up into space to help out, to which Lori replies to the effect of she'll see him there. The two teenagers hold hands and (in a first for a Transformers' series) share a kiss.

The epilogue montage shows both Coby and Lori in space suits, successfully keeping their promise to meet up in space. The final scene of Galaxy Force is a picture of their wedding, surrounded by their family members, as well as Jolt, Six Speed, and Reverb, with Optimus Prime in the background.

IDW's Transformers Collectors Club exclusive comic story, Revelations part 6, is set after the defeat of Galvatron but before Optimus Prime's mission to start a new Space Bridge project. In this story the Autobots from the IDW series (Robots in Disguise Optimus Prime, Ultra Magnus, Sentinel Maximus, Downshift, Perceptor, Alpha Trion, Over-Run, Anti-Blaze, Checkpoint and Scythe) meet the Autobots from the animated series (Cybertron Optimus Prime, Jetfire, Override, Scattorshot, Red Alert, Hot Shot, Lori, Bud and Coby) and thank each other and remembering those who were lost in the battles. ]
