Coal as Bulk cargo on vessels???

Yes, the shops are called colliers. Hampton Roads exports large quantities fromn loading facilities at Newport News and Lamberts Point in Norfolk, Virginia. Vaoverland 09:19, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Rather incomplete

Even with more about how these places worked, and direct mention of Curtis Bay, this has a strong Virginia-outbound bias. We need material on how the coal is received at the other end, and mention of other important/pioneering facilties. Mangoe 17:59, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
