Coat of arms of Oborniki Śląskie

The Coat-of-arms of the city and comune of Oborniki Śląskie is a green fir with the brown trunk on yellow background.

This coat of arms was established as a symbol referring to the historical character of the town, which was a prospering health-resort before the II World War. Former spa has been called "the green lungs of Wrocław". It refers also to planted by the known poet Karl von Holtei "family" firtree.

Present version of coat-of-arms comes from the year 1991 was chosen as victorious in public competition. Project is the authorship of Zdzisław Nitka. Local government act with the act about the local government from the year was granted 1990 with resolution of the city council in Silesian Manures. In 1992, according to the resolution of the City Council the emblem became official coat-of-arms of the city, approvedy by Heraldic Commission.
