Coalition of 9/11 Families
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Coalition of 9/11 Families is is made up of seven groups, each of which started independently after September 11. In March 2002, they decided to bond into a unit that is in the words of web based New York Times a "formidable alliance" [1]
In 2002, Tom Rogér was "the graying, mild-mannered" vice-president. Then, Rogér's organization -- whose board features a lobbyist and four lawyers -- was pushing for a bipartisan commission to investigate the events leading up to September 11 [1].
Bill Doyle was previously the leader of "Give Your Voice"[1], and is now the head of the entire Coalition [2]
The Coalition has asked for nine of the sixten acres of Ground Zero to be preserved, and that Port Authority move a transportation hub slated for construction directly beneath the North Tower, because dozens of bodies were found there, someting that the Port Authority indicated they might do [1].
