Cluster File Systems

Cluster File Systems, Inc., also known as "CFS", are the developers of the Lustre distributed file system. CFS is a privately held company with offices in the United States, Canada, and China.

CFS was founded in 2001 by Dr. Peter Braam. Significant customers and partners include Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, National Center for Supercomputing Applications, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratories, the National Nuclear Security Administration, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Hewlett-Packard and Cray.
