Club at the End of the Street

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Club at the End of the Street" is an up-beat song performed by Elton John. From the album Sleeping with the Past, the song describes a night on the town between two lovers at a disclosed nightclub. An interesting note is the video for the song was animated, due to Elton's involvement with the family of AIDS victim Ryan White. The record company demanded a video, but Elton was dedicated to spending time with Ryan. The single was a top-twenty hit in the US in the summer of 1990.

[edit] Trivia

Of course, by the time of the song's release (May, 1990), Elton had already admitted that he was bisexual. Since the sex of the individuals meeting in the song is never mentioned, Club at the End of the Street could be considered a gay anthem.
