Club Con

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In Marvel Comics's Transformers comics, Club Con was a holiday resort operated by the Decepticons.

The resort was located on a small tropical island in the Caribbean and had many beautiful beaches and other interesting places to see during a vacation. It was managed by the Decepticons Ratbat and Starscream, with Starscream himself transporting tourists to and from the island in his jet fighter form. Other Decepticons served as staff on the island itself. To avoid suspicion and distrust, the Decepticons presented Buster Witwicky as the island's "king", claiming he was the actual director of the resort.

In reality, the holiday resort was only a cover-up for the Decepticons' secret undersea operations in the Caribbean. While humans splashed around in the sea surface and tanned their skins on the beach, the Seacons were busy under the sea, searching the seabed for two cassette-formed Autobots, who had been originally sent from Cybertron to Earth four million years ago, and contained information about the location of the Underbase.

The secret plot became public when Blaster arrived on the island with Buster's girlfriend Jessie. They found their way into the Decepticons' secret undersea base where Buster was being kept prisoner. Meanwhile, the Seacons had found the cassette Autobots. Panic ensued when Blaster and Jessie stole the Autobot cassettes from the Seacons, and they surfaced among the humans to intercept the escaping Blaster. Blaster fought against the Seacons, managing to drive them back into the sea (by tossing the rescued Autobots back into the sea) and save the humans from them, but neither he or Jessie was able to rescue Buster from his prison.

After the island had been evacuated of humans, it was transformed into a Decepticon spaceship, which then flew from the Caribbean to the Arctic, to be able to hide in a better place.
