Founded on June 9, 1899 in the port city of Callao in Lima, Peru. Atletico Chalaco play their home games at the Telmo Carbajo Stadium (named after the club's best player). In 2005, Atletico Chalaco played in the Copa Peru whose champion is promoted to the first division of Peruvian soccer.
