The name of this species does not much the name in chinese. the real name is "hairy wood ear",and the Cloud ear fungus also refer to Auricularia auricula-judae.--218.244.60.17 01:05, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

There is a lot of controversy about this on the Internet, on Chinese language and English language sites, especially about which of the Chinese names matches to which of the 2 Latin species names. Unless we can get 100% confirmation, it's a difficult problem to deal with. Badagnani 01:26, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Clour ear is not Wood ear

I'd like to mention that Clour Ear and Wood Ear are two separate things in the Chinese language. Cloud Ear is a much larger thing whereas Wood Ear is smaller and flat. This needs to be corrected. -C. Ho
