Clover was the backup band for Elvis Costello on his 1977 debut album My Aim Is True. Part of the band later became Huey Lewis and The News. Another member was guitarist John McFee, currently with the Doobie Brothers. Lead vocalist was Alex Call, who's "Perfect World" and co- written " Power of Love" were hits for Huey. Alex also co-wrote 867-5309 (Jenny) and lives in Nashville.
