Cloud Wolf

Cloud Wolf (2001) is a short novella in the Edge Chronicles series created by Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell.

Like the short novella The Stone Pilot, this book was written especially for World Book Day. It follows the story of the character Quint, a young sky pirate on board his father's flying ship, and his first ever sky battle.

It is interesting to note that this book is chronologically the very first book in the Edge Chronicles series.

Quint soon finds himself on his fathers ship, waiting for an enourmous fleet invasion on a single large league ship. While the battle begins, they first belive that the league ship is only passing through with treasure, but unarmed. Near the end of the battle, almost all of the sky pirate fleet is destroyed. Quint and his father have to reatreat. This is the first time that Quint ever fought with his father.
