[edit] Plot
Bubbles is very excited upon hearing that his favorite band, Rush, is coming to town for a concert. He asks Ricky to get his ticket at the box office, while he takes his sick cat, Meowstein, to the vet ("he's got the shits"). Ricky and Julian see the concert as a possible spot for their selling-dope scheme, in order to make some money to pay for their planned cruise. Meanwhile, Lahey and Randy plan to go camping for the weekend, but Barb, Lahey's ex-wife and the owner of Sunnyvale, forbids them to go, unless they sort out the park's garbage from the recycables. After Ricky drives the Shitmobile through their work, Lahey vows revenge on him, and he does this by showing up at the Halifax Metro Center with Randy. While Randy distracts Ricky, Lahey buys all the remaining concert tickets, which he plans to scalp to the public. When Bubbles returns from the vet, he is furious upon learning that Ricky failed to get him a ticket. Back at the park, he finds out he has another chance at it by a local contest giving the first person to call in on a radio question and get it right become Alex Lifeson's guitar tech. Since he knows everything about Rush, Bubbles blurts out the answer in front of Randy and Lahey and runs off to his shed to call in. Unfortunately, Randy cheats by calling in and giving the answer first, and Bubbles is devastated upon hearing the winner's name. He pleads with Lahey to let him have a ticket to the concert, and Lahey agrees, if only the boys will clean up all the garbage for him in the park.
Determined to make things up to Bubbles, Ricky goes to Lifeson's hotel, kidnaps him, and takes him back to the park to meet Bubbles, who has left for the time. Julian is astonished at what Ricky has done, but he convinces Lifeson not to press charges, as long he takes him back to the hotel safely. After Julian sends him off in a cab, Cory and Trevor tell him that they know a secret way into the Metro Center via the sewers. Ricky and Bubbles are disgusted at the plan of going through the sewer, but they nevertheless go through to the concert. They first run into Rush at the backstage area, but Lahey and Randy, who are there already, get security to throw them out. Sent back to the park, they go through the sewer again and make it to Lifeson's dressing room, before Randy and Lahey catch them again. This time, Ricky turns the tables on them by stating that they were planning to scalp tickets, and a disgusted Lifeson has security evict them. He is very nervous, since he does not have a guitar tech, but Julian explains that the whole affair was his and Ricky's fault, since they got selfish in the plan of selling dope, and that Bubbles deserved to win the guitar contest. Seeing that he is right, Lifeson agrees and takes Bubbles onstage with him. In a great scene, a proud Bubbles presents Lifeson with one of his guitars onstage, with thousands of screaming fans cheering. In a voice-over, Lifeson admits that he feels what Ricky and Julian did for Bubbles was a beautiful thing. After the concert, he drives them back to the park, makes peace with Ricky over the kidnapping thing, and he and Bubbles close the episode with an acoustic ballad of Closer to the Heart.
