Cloral

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cloral is a fictional territory in the Pendragon series. It is completely covered by water although legend says it was covered by land in the past. The people of Cloral survive by living on huge floating structures called habitats. These habitats are nearly self sufficient; they have farms where they grow crops fish in the water around them. The food that they cannot make on the habitats is farmed on the ocean floor. Cloral's turning point is when Saint Dane(in the form of Po Nassi),a agronomer from Cloral, creates a poisoned fertilizer. Saint Dane poisons the underwater farms. At the end of The Lost City of Faar the citizens of the lost city of Faar concoct an antidote to and use it to neutralize the poison and save all of Cloral from starvation. This antidote is used again in Black Water
