User talk:Clintie
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hello. Not many "Clint"s in Shetland. Maybe just two. Or three.
[edit] Welcome (and reply re red links)
Er, yes... I do know what a red link means, thank you very much: all red links link to non-existent articles - that is indeed the very reason why they are red in the first place.
There is a very good reason why red links are that colour: it is to alert, and make very obvious, to editors that articles are missing, and are thus Requested articles.
If you are interested in Scottish topics, please see Scottish Wikipedians' notice board, where you will see that red links are absolutely fundamental to the on-going improvement of Wikipedia: indeed we have a sub-page devoted solely to them, called Requested articles.
Oh, I've just noticed that you are brand new, so I'd better lay off the sarcasm (bad habit that). Indeed you are so new that nobody has even welcomed you yet, so here follows the standard blurb. But you truly are very, very welcome (don't mind me: I haven't had my third coffee yet).
Welcome!
