Clive Jackson is an English singer and DJ born in Knotty Ash Liverpool in 1961.

He is usually known by his stage name The Doctor. It is generally believed that he acquired this stage name after failing to meet the entry requirements to Medical School. The veracity of this claim is uncertain.

Since 1982 he has been the frontman of Psychedelic pop band Doctor and the Medics.
