Clint Boon (b. 28 June 1959) is a musician from Oldham, Lancashire, England. He rose to fame with the band Inspiral Carpets, which he joined in 1986 - the distinctive sound of his Farfisa organ becoming one of the band's trademarks. After the Inspiral Carpets split in 1995, Clint went on to form The Clint Boon Experience releasing two albums under this name - The Compact Guide to Pop Music and Space Travel (1999), and Life in Transition (2000). In this year the band released the single Do What You Do (Earworm Song) which featured Fran Healey, the lead singer of the band Travis.
Boon made a cameo appearance on the 2002 film 24 Hour Party People as a train conductor and has recently worked with Cosgrove Hall providing voice-overs and music for the Engie Benjy cartoon series. Clint has his own record label, Booney Tunes, signing artists like Elaine Palmer, and has also been a regular DJ at a number of nightclubs around England and Wrexham in North Wales. He once again joined the Inspiral Carpets for two sell-out tours in 2002/2003. In 2005 Clint became head of music for Oldham-based radio station The Revolution, where he presents the 1000-1400 weekday show, and is resident DJ on Saturday nights at the club "South" in Manchester, amongst other nights in the UK.
Clint is also a presenter on Xfm Manchester. He hosts Music:Response from Monday to Thursday between 7pm and 10pm, introducing live sessions and a listener-led chart countdown, as well as a Saturday evening show called Boon Army. At club gigs he encourages the crowd to shout "Boon Army".
