Clinical Somatic Education

Clinical Somatic Education refers to the applications of the many practices listed under somatic techniques to the field of clinical psychotherapy. Several academic programs offer masters degree programs leading to state licensing in this field, including The California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, which is the first program to offer such a program, founded in 1983; also, John F. Kennedy University in Orinda, CA, Naropa Institute in Boulder, and The Santa Barbara Graduate Institute.
