Climate Outreach and Information Network

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Climate Outreach and Information Network (COIN) is the only British charity that works exclusively with the general public to provide information about climate change and how to deal with it. Based in Oxford, it was registered as a charity in February 2004[1], and since then has run a number of innovative projects, as well as the highly successful 2005 Speaker Series on Climate Change[2].

COIN believes that providing raw information about climate change is a psychological 'turn off', and that it is vital to provide the public with solutions that they can take in their own lives. Only by combining information with solutions can people be empowered to deal with the issue[3].
