This article has been tagged for cleanup since November 2004, but is rather short so should be relatively easy to do. The "Features" section needs to be turned into real text. If you are particularly motivated, inclusion of a real-world example might be useful.

I did a rewrite and added some external links. (My definition conflicted with the existing def and the top google hits seemed to agree with me). I'm going to take another look at it tomorrow. I should add an article for software build so the link stops being red. Tomorrow. RJFJR 04:21, 28 September 2005 (UTC)
