Hello, and thanks for stopping by! I am known on Wikipedia as Cleo123. In real life I am (believe it or not) a professional writer. I currently write for a popular television series. I am based in New York City, but spend most of my off time in Virginia. Over the course of my career I've written everything from television news to daytime drama. I've also penned a few plays in my day. Don't be too impressed, however. It only means that I am good at writing dialogue, which may not necessarily translate into writing good articles! LOL My writing on Wikipedia is purely recreational. I enjoy the opportunity to write about topics that really interest me. Most of my contributions have been to biographies. I was particularly pleased to write the majority of the Bob Carroll Jr. article, which had been a two-sentence stub. Not that it is a brilliant article or anything, but Carroll died recently and I was glad in knowing that there was an actual article rather than a stub for people to look at the day he died. Suddenly, my obscure little article had a lot of traffic! It's also undergone quite a few rewrites - both good and bad. I guess that's what Wikipedia is all about! LOL I am part of the Wikipedia Biography Project's Counter Vandalism Department. I focus a lot of my efforts on addressing potential libel and defamation of character issues. Because of my broadcasting background, presenting an objective and balanced view in Wikipedia articles is of particular importance to me. I think Wikipedia is a wonderful project and I hope to be a contributor for many years to come. If you feel like leaving me a message, please, do so on my Talk Page. Happy Editing! Cleo123 |
