Clementina Maude, Viscountess Hawarden

Clementina Maude, Viscountess Hawarden (1822-1865) was a portrait photographer of the 1860's. Art historians maintain she was influenced, in her photography, by the portraiture by James Whistler. She often used her children, husband and servants as models. Lewis Carroll was an admirer of Lady Clementina Hawarden.
