Clementi Primary School

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Clementi Primary School is a government-funded and managed primary school in Singapore. It is located in Clementi, a new town in western Singapore.

As a result of changing demographies and the increasing median age of residents in the relatively older new town, the number of school-going children in the area has seen dipping enrolment in several primary schools there. Clementi Primary was thus formed in 2001 as a result of this by amalgamating two schools, namely Clementi North Primary School and Clementi Town Primary School.

To accommodate the expanded institution, a new school building was built on the former Clementi Town Primary site, allowing the school to beging occupying the site from January 2003.

The current principal is Mrs. Sng Peng Hock.
