The Clementi Bus Interchange (Chinese: 金文泰巴士转换站) is a bus interchange serving Clementi New Town on the opposite of the Clementi MRT Station. It's located along Commonwealth Avenue West. The interchange was opened on 16 November 1980 by Chor Yeok Eng, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Environment and Member of Parliament for Bukit Timah.
Currently, it consists of one long covered walkway with queue railings and berths at the side of the road, leading many people to call it a "roadside bus terminal" resembling that of the 1970s. This is especially so as the interchange is very small and cramped, and floods sometimes when it is rainy.
However, the government has announced plans to redevelop the interchange and its surroundings. The current interchange has been demolished to make way for a new air conditioned bus interchange and shopping complex, resembling that of Toa Payoh Bus Interchange. The interchange ceased operations on 29 October 2006, and until the new bus interchange opened in 2011, a temporary interchange has been built across the road from the current site.
