Clement Virgo

Clement Virgo (born Kingston, Jamaica) is a Canadian film and television director. His films include Rude, The Planet of Junior Brown, Love Comes Down and Lie with Me. He has also directed episodes of The Wire, The L Word, Platinum, Side Effects and ReGenesis.

He is an alumnus of the Canadian Film Centre in Toronto.

Virgo's newest feature film is Poor Boy's Game. Co-written with up-and-coming Nova Scotian writer/director Chaz Thorne (Pushing Up Daisies), it is the story of class struggle, racial tensions and boxing, set in the Canadian east coast port city of Halifax, Nova Scotia. The film premiered on February 11, 2007, at the Berlin International Film Festival. The movie stars Danny Glover, Rossif Sutherland, Greg Bryk, Flex Alexander and Laura Regan.
