[edit] Your opinion, please

Hi! We welcome your opinion, or participation on Wikipedia:WikiProject Sexology and sexuality/WIP-image-guidelines where we are attempting to develop useful guidelines to help solve a variety of problems. Atom 15:03, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

Clawed is taking a short wikibreak and will be back on Wikipedia 1 Jan 2007

I am a Honda NH125 owner, and I am considering adding some NH-series content to Wikipedia. Let me know if I'd be treading on your toes. Thanks.

[edit] Doing something about the ridiculous date autoformatting/linking mess

Dear Clawed—you may be interested in putting your name to, or at least commenting on this new push to get the developers to create a parallel syntax that separates autoformatting and linking functions. IMV, it would go a long way towards fixing the untidy blueing of trivial chronological items, and would probably calm the nastiness between the anti- and pro-linking factions in the project. The proposal is to retain the existing function, to reduce the risk of objection from pro-linkers. Tony 04:52, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikiproject Automobiles Notification

Hi Clawed, you were on the list of members at WikiProject Automobiles and we are introducing a new way of listing members, as the old list was becoming too long. Our new method involves having all of our members in a category.

To add yourself to the category just add the userbox to your user page by putting {{Wiki Auto Project}} where you want the userbox. Alternatively if you don't like the userbox you can add [[Category:WikiProject Automobiles members|Clawed]] to your userpage.

If you no longer wish to be a member of the project, simply don't add the userbox or category, there's no pressure. Thanks for your time, James086Talk | Contribs 05:02, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Where Are You From?

I am from Montreal. Are you also from Montreal? I hear you're also Canadian, since you know the Auto123 site. -- Bull-Doser 00:14, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Stemma piaggio.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Stemma piaggio.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Flight planning

I've posted a (hopefully polite) rebuttal of your proposed wording changes re Flight planning on that article's talk page. Thank your for looking at the article; any proposed changes will be carefully considered - I'm sure that my English and spelling are not 100% perfect. Murray Langton 15:35, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Spelling

Clawed, I removed your alternative spelling because there's absolutely no need for it, and because "nationalization" is used in the UK anyway; indeed, it used to be the more common spelling there. SlimVirgin (talk) 19:49, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

You can't go around changing spellings without good reason. You're also quite wrong that "in many dialects of English privatisation is the only correct spelling both in the past and present." "Privatization" is an acceptable spelling in the UK too; Oxford University Press uses it, for example, to the best of my knowledge. Anyway, the point is that there's no need to add alternative spellings. It makes Wikipedia look provincial. Do you honestly think people won't recognize the word unless it's spelled with an "s"? [edit] List of motorcycle clubs afd

I nominated the article you started for deletion here: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of motorcycle clubs. Thanks... - Denny 18:00, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
