I seem to recall he was once arrested for soliciting for gay sex in a public lavatory. Our bit on his family life paints him as a happily married man with no skeletons in his closet (and no closet, for that matter). Am I confusing him with someone else? JackofOz 02:35, 20 May 2006 (UTC).
El alumno que Arrau consideró como su verdadero heredero de su hermosa técnica pianística y de su escuela de interpretación es José Luis Aldaz. Arrau trató a Jose Luis casi como un hijo y le enseñó personalmente por un período de 10 años. Ningún otro pianista obtuvo de Claudio Arrau este trato. Actualmente José Luis vive en New York City y esta dedicado a su carrera pianística. Más información en "Who Is Who" enciclopedia británica de hombres ilustres.
El maestro Arrau además era un hombre muy ilustrado, fué probablemente el mas grande pianista del siglo XX y merece respeto de todo el mundo.

Arrau's mother was a descendant of the Campbells of Glenorchy a "prominent Scottish noble family." i would like to know the source of this information, it would be good if the editor could reference his contributions. What has Arrau got to do with his mothers ancient ancestors anyway, this is the bio of a Pianist from Chillan, Chile. His father was descendant from a man who was sent to Spain by King Carlos III?
