Talk:Claudia Poll
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I eliminated the Doping section because it is not only irrelevant, but it is too long. Whoever wrote it, (which of course did not sign their name!), probably had an agenda to discredit Claudia.
I also took out "former swimmer", because not only is she active, she just won 2 more gold medals in the LatinAmerican games.
Finally, the fact that the penalty was cut from 2 to 4 years is just a way for the FINA to not admit they made a mistake but at the same time not affecting her career significantly. Also to this day Claudia defends her innocence.
Here is what I eliminated. Move it somewhere else, to a special page on doping cases, or leave it here...but please don't put it back.
I also finally eliminated the extra categories, (Doping) and (German-Costaricans) because not only did they not exist but they're more useless categories that people insist on creating!!! And also if nobody has made the category, then how can somebody say this article belongs to it?? I see an agenda behind all this, and will not allow it on this page. --Manuzel 08:20, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
Somebody put it back. I took it off again. Please don't put it back.--Manuzel 08:56, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
Doping is a very serious offence. In deleting the reference to C.P.s past in cheating you seem to follow a deluded path to glorification of a person that is definitely not a role model. C.P.s ongoing refusal to admit her doping offence shows a lamentable state of mind.
I am aware it is a serious offense, but that does not mean it is irrefutable. The FINA may say she did, but she remains defending her innocence. Any way...this is not the place to vent any personal matters you may have. This page is dedicated to her career. I took out the doping part because it was TOO LONG, I never said it could not be included! Go ahead and add a small (tasteful) reference to the doping charges against her, but not the 2 parragraphs detailing the whole matter you put initially or eliminating everything else and just leaving the doping charges as you just recently did. Be serious! Don't vandalize pages just because you have some strange fixation on discrediting her! And you may not believe but it takes alot of work and dedication to get to where she did, so in my book she is a role model. And finally somebody who isn't brave enough to put ther name behind their opinions shouldn't be taken into consideration. So DON'T mess with this page again! I will not only change it back every time, but next time I'll report you for vandalism!--Manuzel 01:39, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
Who is the vandal here? You keep on deleting the reference to doping. In deleting your text I wanted to show you just what it feels like to vandalize someones text - especially if it is accurate. I'm sure the admins at wikipedia would agree to my position. So stop your infantile deletions. And furthermore, you ARE NOT to be the judge of my text nor of the length of it. Lastly, what is so brave about signing your contributions with "Manuzel"? Who on earth is Manuzel???? Call me Manuzella if you want and if that gives you the impression of talking with a real person. That last remark of yours is hilarious!!! :-)))
I've asked nicely that you include something small but you insist on putting the whole 4 paragraph report. So I did it for you...Will that make you happy? I hope so.
I dont need to know your name but you oddly choose not to identify yourself...It just seems a little odd that somebody who insists on discrediting somebody doesn't have the guts to say who they are...Call me old fashioned but I think it's in bad taste.
And guess what, I made this page...so I sort have a special edearment to it...I want it to be as to the point and fair as possible...Not half of it based on her career and the other half on the doping charges...So your just going to have to face it...I am here to stay!
One last thing...Since you started "helping" in Wikipedia I see you only have made changes to Claudias page...Do you have a special interest in her? Did she do something to you that you have to make sure the whole world knows every little detail of her doping case? Odd...very odd. --Manuzel 23:53, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
