[edit] Removed paragraph
While I understand wishing to convey the performer's writing style, the paragraph in question is clearly POV. To wit,
- "In live performances punctuated by humorous between-songs banter of the professional-Yorkshirewoman variety, Teal impresses with striking dynamic range in her singing and a well-honed band led by pianist/music director Simon Litton. While the majority of her recordings are standards, earlier albums feature many original songs, and she has also made a splash with post-swing material, most notably a cover of the Mamas and the Papas' "California Dreaming." This cut attracted the attention of popular BBC radio presenter Michael Parkinson, garnering significant publicity during her period with Candid Records."
The bold, of course, was added to highlight the non-neutral language in use.
I suggest a more proper inclusion:
- "In live performances, Teal performs with a band led by pianist/music director Simon Litton. While the majority of her recordings are standards, earlier albums feature many original songs, including post-swing material, most notably a cover of the Mamas and the Papas' "California Dreaming." This cut attracted the attention of popular BBC radio presenter Michael Parkinson, garnering significant publicity during her period with Candid Records." Swarthington 00:19, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
