George Washington (22 February 1732 – 14 December 1799) was the Commander in Chief of American forces in the American Revolutionary War (1775–1783), and, later, the first President of the United States.

Equestrian Statue by Clark Mills located in the center of Washington Circle in Washington DC, created in 1860.
