Claus Bech Jørgensen (born April 27, 1976 in Holstebro) is a Danish-born footballer who played internationally for the Faroe Islands. He elected to play for the Faroes, the homeland of both his parents, as he believed he would probably never play for Denmark; however, in September 2006, after he was benched for the Faroe Islands' embarrassing 6-0 loss against Scotland in a 2008 UEFA European Football Championship qualifying match, he decided to quit the national team with ten caps and one goal to his name.

Jørgensen is an attacking midfielder, whose main strengths are passing and close control of the ball. During the 2002/2003 season, when he was playing for Bradford City, he scored in eight successive away games. This unusual feat almost equalled the record held by Dixie Dean, who scored nine goals in nine successive league games. Claus hit a shot against the post in what would have been the ninth. Bradford lost the game 1-0 to Gillingham.

He is currently playing in the English Football League One for Blackpool, whom he joined from Coventry City in August 2006. He has previously played for Bradford City and Bournemouth in England, and AC Horsens in Denmark.

Jørgensen is also notable for becoming the first player to score at Coventry's Ricoh Arena, on August 20, 2005, in a 3-0 win against Q.P.R.[1]
