Clarke Central High School

Clarke Central High School (CCHS), is located in Athens, Georgia. It was created in 1970 by the merger of two high schools, Athens High School[1] and Burney-Harris High School[2], as a result of desegregation. Its current principal is Maxine Easom.

The Clarke Central High School Gladiators football team currently competes in region 8-AAAA North and is coached by Leroy Ryals. In 2006 they defeated crosstown rival Cedar Shoals twice, however the rivalry game has been decided by one touchdown or less in the past seven meetings.
