Clarice Mayne

Clarice Mayne was a music hall and variety theatre singer and perfomer. She was born on 6th February 1886 in London, and died there on 16 January 1966.


Mayne is best known for the song A Broken Doll written by her husband, the composer James W. Tate and lyricist Frank Clifford Harris.

Mayne often sang, with Tate accompanying on the Piano, as the act called 'Clarice Mayne and That'.
