[edit] Biography

Bowditch was one of the founding members of Red Raku, a folk band that released two albums, before moving onto her solo work. Between 2000 and 2001 she moved to Canada to study ethnomusicology/songwriting. Her folk-pop style has been compared to that of Cat Power and Beth Orton. She plays the guitar. She has a daughter, Asha, and twin sons, Elijah and Oscar, with her partner and frequent musical collaborator, Marty Brown.

In the 2006 ARIA awards she won the award for best female artist.

[edit] Touring

Clare spent much of 2004 touring. She has completed six national tours with the Feeding Set alone, as well as played support to musicians such as Elvis Costello, James Blunt, Paul Kelly, Pete Murray, Missy Higgins, The Waifs, Xavier Rudd, Tim Rogers, Paul Dempsey, and Cat Power. She has built a reputation for a "compelling live show" [1] through appearances at music festivals including the Falls Festival and the Meredith Music Festival.
