Clacket Lane services

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Clacket Lane services is a motorway service station on the M25 motorway near London, United Kingdom that is owned by RoadChef. The services are actually two separate sites situated on opposite sides of the motorway between junctions 5 and 6 in Kent on the border with Surrey. The site on the southern (clockwise) carriageway also houses a Premier Travel Inn hotel.

Clacket Lane is one of the largest and busiest services on the UK motorway network serving traffic on the extremely busy southern stretch of the M25, and traffic to and from the coastal ports and the Channel Tunnel.

The station was opened in 1993. A service station at the site was first proposed in 1972. On the first planning application then service station was to be named Titsey Wood after the forest that surrounds the site.
