CLAMBS Equality
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
CLAMBS Equality is an ad-hoc organization of concerned citizens of Massachusetts working to uphold the right to same-sex marriage, to defeat anti-gay legislation including any amendments to the Massachusetts Constitution or the United States Constitution, and to provide outreach and education about general LGBTTQ rights issues.
Its long term goals include repealing "Don't ask, Don't tell," opposing the Federal Marriage Amendment (H.J. Resolution 56/S.J. Resoution 26), and supporting full Civil Rights for Queer Americans.
CLAMBS Equality was founded by Jesse Liberty in 2004 as Acton Equality. In December 2005 the organization was renamed CLAMBS Equality, an acronym for Concord, Littleton, Acton, Maynard, Boxborough and Stow.
