CKX is the call sign of a radio station operating in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada. CKX-FM operates at 96.1MHz FM, broadcasting an active rock format with the brand name KX96.
The station started operation in 1963 as a sister station to CKX-AM. The station, with a power of 29,000 watts, was the first stereo FM station in Manitoba.
In 1991, the stations' owner, Western Manitoba Broadcasters, changed its name to Craig Broadcast Systems Inc.
In 2002, CKX and CKXA, along with two other Craig radio properties were sold to Standard Radio.
