Hello. I'm C.J. O'Kelley, and I'm interested in several things, notably: genealogy, history, computer science, astronomy, robotics, artificial intelligence, chemistry, and physics, the latter attributed to Isaac Asimov's book Understanding Physics, which there should be an article for. Update: As of April 5, 2006, I had the energy create such an article.

Astronomy, I should say, was introduced to me as by none other than Carl Sagan, in the format of Cosmos, when I was a troubled youngster (not that long ago). In very small honor of this, I created a Wikipedia userbox template for fellow "Saganites."

I have been editing articles in Wikipedia for around four and a half years. As of mid-2005, however, I'm trying to do all my edits with this ID.

That said, 89.39% of my contributions to Wikipedia are m.

[edit] Humor

"[The United States] is that frequent phenomenon in history: the republic whose ruler has every attribute of the absolute monarch but the name. It therefore enjoyed the despotism unrestrained even by those two moderating influences in the legitimate monarchies: regal "honor" and court etiquette." Isaac Asimov, parody of the first paragraph of chapter 4 in Part V of Foundation, the "Merchant Princes"

[edit] Attention

Help! I'm addicted to this Userpage. (Particularly those dreaded userboxes.)

[edit] Obnoxious citation insertions

I'm beginning to see a lot of these, and I will admit, they are quite annoying. I understand the need for Wikipedia articles to be reliable, referenced, and correct, but it seems that within the last few months people with nothing better to do to Wikipedia insert these, for fun, everywhere; sometimes in the most mundane and useless locations within the article. It almost looks like vandalism. One example would be the Curry article; in the British cuisine section I found around seven citation listings for things such as 'sometimes onion is added to the curry in place of other spices, to give it an extra taste.' Why, pray tell, is a citation listing needed for that? Anyone who's ever prepared or eaten curry knows this to be a fact. It is ridiculous!

So if you happen to run across my little userpage, and you happen to be one of these people, or knows where it happens a lot, please put an end to it, and only cite important, possibly content-altering facts.
