[edit] Assistance sought: correct spellings / grammer

I understand from your User Page that you like to correct spelling mistakes and so on in wiki articles. You have corrected one of my articles Motonori Kabayama, which I had just done - request for this article had appeared on the Community portal. In case, you find time, I would request you to please correct grammer / spellings / syntax, etc. of (or in?) some of articles, which I have recently edited - Mahabodhi Temple, Bodh Gaya. Now that I know your "speciality" of your school time (copy-editing), I will continue to come to you. Thanks ... byee ...--Bhadani 14:51, 13 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Sure! I'll get right on it. Cjpuffin 20:05, 13 Apr 2005 (UTC)

    • Nice work, thanks. I had made Buddha "wondering" at Bodh Gaya and now I am wondering at your abilities. I will continue to seek you assistance. Thanks again. --Bhadani 03:14, 14 Apr 2005 (UTC)

My pleasure! I'll do Bodh Gaya soon. I already looked briefly at it, I don't think it needs too much editing.Cjpuffin 03:43, 14 Apr 2005 (UTC)

    • Thank you for copyediting Bodh Gaya - I am getting the enlightenment.--Bhadani 18:44, 20 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Punctuation Project

Hello Cjpuffin. Brequinda here. I notice we are both in the Punctuation Project. You recently fixed some dots in the Loughborough article, but you didn't touch the very first paragraph, which is a redirect advice statement. In general, should we leave these alone, do you think, or treat them like any other English sentence and finish them off with a full stop, or, where you come from, a period? I have assumed we should and added one. Let me know what you think! Brequinda 30 June 2005 15:34 (UTC)

Yes, I think they should also contain ending periods. Thanks for catching that. However, you put that period outside the }} on the header, which put the period down a few lines, not on the end of the sentence. It is now fixed. :) Cjpuffin 30 June 2005 23:13 (UTC)

Blimey this WikiPedia is subtle. Brequinda 1 July 2005 09:05 (UTC)

[edit] Nice work

Good job rewriting Free Internet Chess Server! BTW, you may want to check out WikiProject Chess. — Bcat (talk | email) 8 July 2005 17:01 (UTC)

  • Thanks. I don't think it's anywhere near complete yet, but I wanted to get something down that was better than the existing article (sic), and provide some fodder for others to work with. Please dive in, if you like.

[edit] Chess Wikiportal

Sure, I'd like help with whatever you feel like improving. The portal needs a lot of work. — Bcat (talk | email) 19:50, 12 July 2005 (UTC)

Hi there. I'd just like to let you know that when editing a box portal, the text for the box doesn't need to go on the main page. Of course it does work that way, but the box portal is set up to make the main page as clean as possible. The text should go on a sub page (which are the red links you see when the portal is first made (example Wikipedia:Wikiportal/Chess/Things you can do). I've done a small edit which you can see here that shows how the portal page looks the same as before when viewed, but the text is located elsewhere. Talk to me if you have any questions, and I'm now doublechecking the instructions at [[Wikipedia:Wikiportal] to make sure that this procedure is understood by all.Trevor macinnis 01:13, 13 July 2005 (UTC)

Ok, I fixed it all. Sorry 'bout that. Cjpuffin 01:50, 13 July 2005 (UTC)
