Hello there. I am CJLL Wright, or cjllw for short. I've been a editor here at en.wiki from May 2005, and an administrator as of January 2007 (nomination here). As a recent sysop appointment I'll still be learning the ropes, but would be glad to help out where I can. I've been a reasonably active but sometimes intermittent contributor, time and Real Life permitting. Total edits at en.wiki are running to over 17,000 at present, FWIW.
I'm generally to be found expanding and organising articles and materials across (sometimes neglected) subfields of History, Archaeology, Anthropology, Linguistics and Geography. While these are my main areas of interest, I'll often venture into other topics as the occasion demands, or whim suggests. My main focus is on content research, improvement and categorisation, and I tend to work concurrently on a number of different themes, looking at articles within those areas rather than from a broader palette. I also devote some portion of my available time to general admin duties and assistance with various meta-tasks, such as various review discussions, category rationalisation, guideline and template tidying, copyvio checking, watchlist-patrol and vandal-cracking as and when I come across it.
My Current focal area of activity appears to be on pre-Columbian Mesoamerica-related articles, improving content and coverage for these and thinking about strategies and activities to research and collaborate in this area. At the moment I'm spending a bit of time developing WikiProject Mesoamerica which I've initiated as a space for this work. There are a couple of other Projects I'm (less frequently) active in, or at least keep an eye on, such as WikiProject Writing systems, WikiProject Ethnic groups and WikiProject Endangered languages. Beyond these I've a rather-poorly maintained worklist (somewhere below) where I may jot down ideas or articles I plan to get to at some point.
I also have some accounts on other wikis such as commons and wikisource, and on a number of other language 'pedias (de, es, fi, id, it, nl), used irregularly and primarily for interwiki links and review of content/materials which could be used at en.
My availability and activity here can be variable, I attempt to maintain the 'Activity Gauge' seen here as some kind of rough guide to how often I may currently be checking in on things here.
